Ernie James

If you are going to make noise in this industry you can’t whisper. You have to have a concept and enough confidence and courage to scream out ” This is me” and you can take it or leave it. This is the sense we get with the multi talented Ernie James. His music and video and strong and stark. They might appeal to some and repel others. That is a good thing because when you go to please everyone you end up with watered down filler and something that isn’t worth a second look. This is worth a look and several looks after.

Check out his bio and video below.

Ernesto Ramirez Jaime, known professionally as Ernie James, is a singer,
composer and multi-instrumentalist born (July 20 1990) in Guadalajara, Mexico and
currently living in Los Angeles, California where he moved in 2014 to pursue a
musical career. His debut EP “Only Child” was released May 27th 2017 launching
his solo career with an eclectic rock sound inspired by both the current indie rock
trends and the more “energetic” power of both classic and alternative rock, from
which he takes the use of the guitar as a main lead instrument, clearly noticeable
by the powerful solos in his compositions.
Since an early age, Ernie found a passion for music, learning to play the piano and
later studying flamenco guitar with famous Mexican flamenco guitarist Fernando
Martinez Peralta moving on after his passing to taking lessons from his son
Fernando Martinez Macías. He also took electric guitar lessons with progressive
rock guitarist Ernesto Bringas.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, he moved to Los Angeles
enrolling in the music program at the prestigious Musicians Institute, earning an
Associate of Arts degree.
His influences come from a variety of musical styles, from his love for the flamenco
guitar of Paco de Lucía, Manolo Sanlúcar, Vicente Amigo, rock guitarists like Steve
Vai, Joe Satriani, Carlos Santana and bands like The Strokes, The Smashing
Pumpkins, and latin rock artists such as Gustavo Cerati and Fito Paez.
