We make no apologies that we dig 90’s era alternative rock music. Soaring guitars, minor keys and some growl to vocals. It isn’t pop music to make you feel happy and perky with the world but often a dose of reality leaning on some of the darker belly of the world which we live in. I say this as a prelude to introducing Brisbane’s The Dollar Bill Murrays. Check out their bio and video’s below to see why they are making noise in South East Queensland.
Built up on thick, fuzzy guitars and big, washy drums, The Dollar Bill Murrays are a Brisbane based alt/desert rock band. Their recent EP ‘Always On’ released via Valley Heat Records to fantastic response from independent radio around Australia, with further support for ‘I Want Everything’ across Spotify internationally and ‘Medicine’ which was added to Triple J Unearthed radio on full rotation.“This is the devil’s music. Clearly he’s got decent taste.” (Dave Ruby Howe, triple j)
“It’s fair to say that [The Dollar Bill Murrays] are the perfect antidote to this incoming miserable winter – it’s laid back, sun drenched psych rock seriously in tune with the beachy, summery vibes we’re craving right now.” (Tone Deaf)
“The Dollar Bill Murrays have expanded their sound with a gritty, fuzz-filled jam that is packed to the rafters with a catchy chorus, squealing guitar, and insane drum fills.” (AAA Backstage)
